Roy died January 9, 2013 in Morehead, Rowan Co., KY. OBIT: Roy Junior Fairchild of West Liberty, KY., passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY., at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 21 days.
He was born on February 18, 1936, at Paragon, KY., a son of the late Roy Estill and Bessie Marie Brown Fairchild.
Roy Junior was united in marriage to Remona Gaye Lewis. This union was blessed with eight children, Jerry, Vickie, Roger, Mark, Pam Ronald, Will and Steve. He was a farmer and attended Church of God when he was able.
In addition to his parents, Roy and Bessie Fairchild, he was preceded in death by his wife, Remona Gaye Fairchild, three sons, Ronald, Will, and Steve Fairchild, one granddaughter, Tana Pennington and two brothers, Silven and Ernest Fairchild.
Survivors include his five children, Jerry Fairchild of Washington State, Vickie Fairchild of Morehead, KY., Roger and Mintie Fairchild of Winchester, KY., Mark and Alma Fairchild of Zag, KY., and Pam Pennington, Bell City of KY., six grandchildren, David Fairchild, Weylin and Alisha Fairchild, Kendra Fairchild, Joshua and Rachel Fairchild, Lisa and Little Rock Horton, Cameron Fairchild, one great- grandchild, Josiah Everett Fairchild, five brothers, Edward Fairchild of Arizona, Vernal Fairchild of OH., Lawrence Fairchild of WV., Wilburn Fairchild of VA., James Fairchild of OH., two sisters, Dorothy Boisel and Wilma Sexton both of West Liberty, KY., many nieces, nephews and special friend, Wanda Kelsey.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Eugene Haney officiating. Burial to follow in the Howard and Lewis Cemetery, Russell Lewis Rd., West Liberty KY.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013, at the at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Tim Fairchild, David Fairchild, Weylin Fairchild, Josiah Fairchild, Cameron Fairchild, Richard Sexton, Little Rock Horton and Greg Fairchild.
He married Remona Gaye Lewis. Remona was born March 31, 1936 in Morgan Co., KY. Remona was the daughter of Math Lewis and Etta Mae (___). Remona died December 22, 2009 in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY. OBIT: Remona Gaye Fairchild of West Liberty, Ky., passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, Ky., at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 22 days.
She was born on Tuesday, March 31, 1936, in Yocum, Ky., a daughter of the late Math and Etta Mae Lewis.
Remona was united in marriage to Roy Junior Fairchild, this union was blessed with eight children, Remona was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She was a Christian and a member of the Blaze Community Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, William Junior and Steven Mitchell Fairchild, one granddaughter, Tana Pennington, one brother, William Russell Lewis, and four sisters, Thelma McGuire, Mae Mills, Ruth K. DeVore and Goldie Claybrought.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Junior Fairchild, six children, Ronald Keith Fairchild of Morehead, Ky., Jerry Fairchild of Pateros, Va., Vickie Fairchils of Morehead, Ky., Roger and Mintie Fairchild of Winchester, Ky., Mark and Alma Farchild of Zag, Ky., and Pam and Paul Pennington of Sandy Hook, Ky., six grandchildren, David Slone Fairchild, Joshua Fairchild, Lisa and Little Rock Horton and Cameron Blake Fairchild, one brother, Millard M. Lewis of West Liberty, Ky., three sisters, Genetta Florence Sexton of West Liberty, Ky., Viola Grace Yenser of Harveysburg, OH., and Alice Faye Watkins of West Liberty, Ky.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009, at the Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Eugene Haney and Rev. Vernon Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Howard & Lewis Cemetery, Russell Lewis Road, West Liberty, KY.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009, at the funeral home.

OBIT: Ronald Fairchild of West Liberty, Ky., passed away, Thursday, October 13, 2011, at the Rockcastle Hospital, Mount Vernon, Ky., at the age of 55 years, 11 months, and 6 days.
He was born on Monday, November 7, 1955, in West Liberty, Ky., a son of Roy Junior Fairchild and the late Remona Gaye Lewis Fairchild.
Ronald was a former employee of Addington Brothers. He was saved and was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Remona Gaye Lewis Fairchild.
Survivors include his father, Roy Junior Fairchild of Morehead, KY., five brothers and sisters, Jerry Fairchild of Pateros, WA., Vickie R. Fairchild of Morehead, Ky., Roger D. and Mintie Fairchild of Winchester, Ky., Mark and Alma Fairchild of West Liberty, Ky., and Mary Pam and Paul Pennington of Sandy Hook, Ky., four nephews, and three nieces, one great nephew, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Potter Funeral Home, with Mr. Greg Harper and Mr. Charlie Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in the Howard & Lewis Cemetery, Russell Lewis Road, West Liberty, Ky.
Visitation from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Weylin Fairchild, David Fairchild, Josh Fairchild, Tim Fairchild, Paul Pennington, Rock Horton, Matthew Watkins, Curren Lewis, and Dewey Moore.
