10369. Sterling Montgomery⁸ Allgood (Sterling Neblett⁷, John Wesley⁶, Creed A⁵, George⁴, Spencer³, William John², Edward¹) was born in Mecklenburg Co., VA December 21,1933. Sterling died May 8, 2016. OBIT: Mr. Sterling Montgomery “Monty” Allgood, age 82, of South Hill died Sunday, May 8, 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Frances Allgood of the home; a son, Stephen M. Allgood (Betty) of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; two step sons, Christopher Brame (Pam) of Red Oak, Va. and Michael Brame (Susan) of Chesterfield, Va. Also surviving are two grandchildren Haylee Allgood and Kristen Brame; one brother, Walter Neblett Allgood (Louise) of Baskerville and three sisters, Bessie A. Wilkerson, Barbara A. Gill both of Chase City, and Lucille A. Blalock of Baskerville.

Mr. Allgood was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired correctional officer with the VA Department of Corrections.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 11 at Crestview Memorial Park, La Crosse, Va. with military honors.

He married three times. He married Ruby Ellen Adcock September 1,1962. Ruby was born July 12,1944. Ruby was the daughter of Willie G. Adcock and Gladys R. (___). Ruby died October 27, 2015. He married Laura Ann Webb December 21, 1982 in Baskerville, Mecklenburg Co., VA. Laura was born Septmber 12,1936 in Nottoway, VA. Laura is the daughter of Kiser Webb and Vera Evelyn Dalton. He married Elizabeth H Holton Robertson April 11,1987 in La Crosse, Mecklenburg Co., VA. Elizabeth was born July 29, 1938. Elizabeth is the daughter of Franklin Louis Holton and -Ruby Adell Cavanaugh.

Sterling Montgomery Allgood and Ruby Ellen Adcock had the following child:
