Rachel died March 9, 2010 in Henderson, Vance Co., NC. OBIT: Mrs. Rachel Dale Wallace, 71, of South Hill, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Britthaven Nursing Home of Henderson, N.C. She was a former restaurant hostess and the widow of Charles Richard Wallace.
Mrs. Wallace is survived by her son Jerry W. Allgood and his companion, Wilma Bean of Norlina, N.C.; two nieces Charlene Duncan of Spartanburg, S.C. and Leah Ann Woodie of Woodruff, S.C.; two step-daughters, Susan Tweetie of Williamsburg and Lynetta Wapner of northern, VA; two great-nieces and one-great nephew.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 7 p.m. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with a visitation to follow the service. A committal service will be conducted Tuesday, March 16, in Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico at 1 p.m.
She married twice. She married Joseph Steve Kosler June 29,1968 in Mecklenberg Co., VA. Joseph was born March 3,1929 in Cook Co., IL. Joseph was the son of Joseph Kosler and Catherine Jurkovic. Joseph died January 21, 1981 in Richmond, Henrico Co., VA. She married Charles Richard Wallace May 10,1980 in Mecklenberg Co., VA. Charles was born January 19,1925 in Fauquier Co., VA. Charles was the son of Jack Cecil Wallace and Gaynelle Josephine Lunsford. Charles died March 27, 2002 in Williamsburg, James Co., VA.
