Marsha died February 15, 2011. OBIT" Marsha Leora Nelson Alsup Loftin, age 61, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 15, 2011 following a short illness.Funeral services celebrating Marsha's life will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, February 18, 2011 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Munyon officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the funeral home.Marsha graduated from Ringgold High School and began work at Coushatta Citizen as an ad manager, later serving as editor/publisher for 17 years. She was a past-president of Coushatta Chamber of Commerce. Marsha was an Avon representative for many years and won numerous awards for her top performance in sales. Always full of life with a smile on her face, Marsha never met a stranger. She loved her family and was always there for them. Her kind and generous spirit will always be remembered.She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Iva June Nelson; grandparents, June and Ruby McGinty; a special aunt and uncle, Darwin and Leora Shrell of Baton Rouge, LA; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Giddens of Ringgold, LA.To cherish her memory is her son, Brady Dewayne Alsup, and daughter, Misty Lynn Alsup Wood and husband, Christopher all of Loggy Bayou. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Jon Wesley Alsup, Abbie Gail Alsup, Sachse Nicole Wood, Darren Christopher Wood, Braiden James Alsup "Little Man".
