He married Bonnie Bee Laughary. Bonnie was born December 22, 1904 in Flat Gap, Johnson Co., KY. Bonnie was the daughter of Columbus Washington Laughary and Sallie Myers. Bonnie died August 10, 2007 in Evansville, Vandenburgh Co., IN. OBIT: Bonnie (Laughary) Bridwell Allgood, 102, of Evansville, passed away Friday, August 10, 2007, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born December 22, 1904, in Webster County, Ky., to Columbus and Sally Laughary. Bonnie moved to Evansville in 1928 and worked for the Evansville Briggs plant, making P-47 airplane wings for Republic Aviation during WWII. When Briggs was purchased by Chrysler Corp, Bonnie transferred to St. Louis until her retirement in 1965. Bonnie has been the "icon" of her 5 generation family, since her first great-great granddaughter was born in 1983. Her favorite past-time was the enjoyment she got from her crochet pieces she was able to pass on to her families, to be treasured and enjoyed. Her family will cherish the memories and many experiences she has shared and passed down through so many generations. She is survived by one daughter, Addie Taylor and husband, James, of Evansville; son, Ben Allgood and wife, Bonnie, of Eustis, Fla.; grandson, Ronald Brown and wife, Patrice; granddaughters, Phyllis Schenk and husband, Carl, Sharon Mahler and husband, Jerry, Gail Hatmaker and husband, David, Donna Loader and husband, Mike, Cris Brooks and husband, Terry; two stepgrandchildren, Gail Watkins and husband, Rodger, and Greg Taylor; 17 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey Laughary; sisters, Inez Walker, Loren Kyle, and Lottie Crowley, all from Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her parents, Columbus and Sally Laughary; first husband David Bridwell; second husband Ira Allgood, an infant son, Ira Allgood Jr.: three brothers, Raymond, Texal and Basil Laughary; and one sister, Olean Hayes. Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with entombment in St. Joseph Catholic Mausoleum.
