Today would have been my parents 70th wedding anniversary. He was Father Knows Best and she was Betty Crocker. He took care of her and she adored him. He was quiet and reserved. She loved company and entertaining. Together they made the perfect couple. Looking back, it's difficult to believe they were only together just over 30 years before my father passed away. She lived another 22 years and missed him every single day. There was something magical about that old house on Oak Hill Farm west of Louisville. Something that I hope passes on down to the generations of our family to come.
