Being Boo Boo | |||
One of the advantages of being Zoey’s grandfather is chauffeuring her to have her wisdom teeth taken out.
One of the disadvantages of being an old mill worker is that I couldn’t understand anything she was saying while her mouth was packed with gauze.
But she mumbled and giggled all the way home.
However, I did get her attention when I dropped her off and I said I’d be back tomorrow to take her back so she could have the rest of her teeth taken out.
For a brief moment there was panic in her eyes. I think I understood her to say, “No, Boo Boo. No.”
(She did manage to take this picture of herself.)
