He married Lottie Mae Gilmore August 1, 1925 in Paduch, Cottle Co., TX. Lottie was born May 25, 1910 in Cottle Co., TX. Lottie was the daughter of Ernest Willard Gilmore and Malissa Belle Lawson. Lottie died September 10, 1991 in Pittsburg, Contra Costa Co., CA. James (Jay) Gibbs indicated that he was told Lottie was of the Indian race.
