Dennis died January 6, 2011 in Madden, MS. OBIT: Services for Dennis Doyle Vowell were held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Small Wood Revival Center.
The Rev. Tim Vowell officiated. Burial followed in Wood Cemetery.
John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Vowell, 73, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at Hospice in His Hands in Madden. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked 16 years for Edwards Electric.
He was preceded in death by parents, John Readen Vowell and Sudie Pearl Keen Vowell.
Survivors include daughter, Gina V. Melton; sons, Devon Vowell and John Vowell; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kenny Morris, Clay Jones, Robert Lowrey, Ronnie Vowell, Robert Vowell, Tim Stewart, Marcus Ray, Ronnie Douglas, Randy Smith and Clark Reynolds.
He married three times. He married Beverly Antionett Edwards October 4, 1959 in Louisville, Winston Co., MS. Beverly was born March 14, 1940. Beverly is the daughter of John Elton Edwards and Mattie Bell Pearson.
Dennis Doyle Vowell and Beverly Antionett Edwards had the following children:
