He married Etta Carrie Lankford 1917. Etta was born April 6, 1896 in Chico, Wise Co., TX. Etta was the daughter of James H. Lankford and Carrie J. Bailey. Etta died April 13, 1971 in Colleyville, Tarrant Co., TX. According to his son, Charles Holmes Allgood, Albert was a sharecropper and farmer most of his life. Albert worked for Dallas Power and Light Electric Company for several years but always came back to farming. Albert had to travel a great deal while working for the Dallas Power and Light and even though he did not care for that he would always climb poles to earn some extra income. Albert also worked as the school custodian and elecrial trouble shooter for the city of Bowie. Albert died died of a heart attack.
