Annie died July 2, 2010 in Dothan, Houston Co., AL. OBIT: Annie Ruth Allgood Gilley Mrs. Annie Ruth Allgood Gilley died Friday, July 2, 2010 at Westside Terrace in Dothan. She was 90. A funeral service honoring the life of Mrs. Gilley will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2010 at Goodwater Freewill Baptist Church in Wicksburg. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to service time from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Doyle Gilley and son Clyde Olen Gilley. Mrs. Gilley is survived by her daughter, Janice Leger and her husband Jerrel of Dothan; son, Glen Gilley and his wife Kathy of Ft. Mitchell; step-daughters, Jeanette Vaughan of Geneva, Evelyn Hughes of Baldwin, Florida; step-son Marlin K. Gilley and his wife Mary Sue of Dothan; sister, Bettie Kinsaul of Bynum, Alabama; sister-in-law, Betty Allgood of Dothan; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grand-children and several great-great grandchildren.
She married Walter Doyle Gilley September 13, 1941 in Houston Co., AL. Walter was born February 26, 1910 in Houston Co., AL. Walter was the son of Walter Gilley and Bealty (Becky) Thomley. Walter died November 18, 1993 in Houston Co., AL. Walter is buried at Good Water Cemetery, Houston Co., AL
