Marion died April 10, 2008. OBIT: Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Cemetery for Mrs. Marion Gaskey Studdard, 80, Steele, who died Thursday, April 10, 2008. Charles Abercrombie will officiate. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.
Mrs. Studdard was a native and lifelong resident of St. Clair County. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.S. Studdard; son, Ronnie Studdard; grandson, Scotty Hubbard; and brother, Larry Gaskey.
She is survived by her children, Jerry (Janice) Studdard, Austell, Ga., Gwin (Opie) Studdard, Albertville, Elaine Steapleton, Steele, Janet Robinson, Steele, Susan (Dewey) Hames, Rainbow City, Kathy (Leroy) Smith, Steele, and Jimmy (Marlene) Studdard, Steele; brother, Marcel Gaskey, Gadsden; sisters, Betty Turner, Hokes Bluff, Carolyn Gowens, Hokes Bluff, and Demurrel Jenkins, Marrietta, Ga.; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 this evening at Morgan Funeral Chapel. e
She married Hobert Sam Studdard March 14, 1944 in Etowah Co., AL. Hobert was born June 5, 1924 in Etowah Co., AL. Hobert was the son of Noel Jackson Studdard and Daisy Bell Butler. Hobert died November 30, 1997 in Steele, St Clair Co., AL. Hobert is buried at Shilo Cemetery, Etowah Co., AL

21757 ii. Finis (Ronnie) Studdard was born in Etowah Co., AL June 10, 1946. Finis died November 17, 1965 in Viet Nan. Killed at age 19 during the Viet Nan conflict in the Battle of Ia Drang Valley. Ronnie is buried in the local cemetery at Steele, AL
