Howard died December 19, 2007 in Temple, Carroll Co., GA. Obit Howard S. Goldin of True Gospel Road, Temple passed away at his residence, Wednesday, December 19, 2007. He was born in Haralson County, September 4, 1914, son of the late Glover Cleveland Goldin and Mae McBrayer Goldin. Mr. Goldin was a retired employee of the Plantation Pipeline Company and Southern Railway and a member of the Draketown Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, Mr. Goldin was preceded in death by wife, Doris Eaves Goldin;sisters, Grace Goldin Woody, Georgia Goldin Clark, Sara Goldin Holt, Dorothy Goldin Shepherd and brother, G. C. Goldin.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sonya Goldin Carter and Richard Carter, Buchanan, Martha Goldin Church and Myron Church, Buchanan, Rebecca Goldin Mattingly and Tommy Mattingly of Temple; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Howard and Ruth M. Goldin of Snellville, Benjamin F. Goldin of Temple; sister, Annette Whitton of Bremen; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, December 21 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Weaver and Rev. Wendell Rush officiating. Alan Goldin, Michael Pruitt, David Church, Chris Lampien, Alex Goldin and Brandon Brown will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Draketown Baptist Church Cemetery.
He married Sarah Doris Eaves. Sarah was born May 17, 1917 in Haralson Co., GA. Sarah was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Eaves and Nettie Frazer. Sarah died June 6, 1999 in Temple, Carroll Co., GA.
