He married Almenia R. (Rebecca) Craig October 10, 1844 in Muscogee Co, GA. Almenia was born 1821 Walton Co., GA. Parentage of Joseph's dates are as shown by Sharron Verdell

Joseph Morris and Almenia R. (Rebecca) Craig had the following children:

 839 i. William T.⁸ Morris was born 1844.

 840 ii. Laura Josephine Morris was born 1852. Based on research of John Land, Laura and Josephine appear to be the same individual, as the 1850 cenus shows her name as Laura J.
