Clyde died November 5, 1952 in Paulding Co., GA. Clyde is buried at the Mt Zion Baptist Cemetery, Paulding Co., GA

He married Vista Irene McClung December 29, 1926. Vista was born December 13, 1906 Walton Co., GA. Vista was the daughter of W. T. (Tank) McClung and Ovelle Paris. Vista died June 19, 1970 in Dallas, Paulding Co., GA. Irene is buried at the New Canaan Baptist Cemetery, Paulding Co., GA Vista was a school teacher for many years, then Librarian for Paulding Co. On 04/12/1939 gave the land for Macedonia Baptist Church, Hwy 61 S.

Clyde fell off a horse at age 6, broke right arm. Arm set incorrectly, leaving him with a crippled hand and arm and giving him the nickname "Crip"
