OBIT: Peoples Williams Winston-Salem Dorothy Marie Peoples Williams Sept. 13, 1926 - July 3, 2015 Dorothy Marie Peoples Williams, 88, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 13, 1926 in Forsyth County to Benjamin Harrison and Octavia Higgins Peoples. She graduated from RJ Reynolds High School and was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. She was married to William Smith Williams, Jr. at St. Leo's on June 30, 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Williams lived in Des Moines, Iowa for many years where she helped him in his business the Haggar Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son William S. "Bill" Williams, III. Survivors include a daughter Patricia J. Williams of Lewisville, NC; granddaughter Rachelle R. Deutschmann; great-grandson Jack A. Deutschmann; niece Loretta F. Griggs; and many loving nieces and nephews. Dorothy loved to take long walks on the beach with her beloved dog, Gingee. Funeral services for the family will be private.
She married William Smith Williams JR June 30, 1945 in Forsyth Co., NC. William was born October 12, 1917 in Forsyth Co., NC. William was the son of W. Smith Williams. William died May 26,1979 in Nassau Co., FL.
