Francis died December 27, 2002 in Kingsport, Sulllivan Co., TN. OBIT: Mr. Francis Blaine Shore, 84, of Kingsport, Tenn., died Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, in Kingsport. Mr. Shore was born in Yadkin County Nov. 10, 1918, to the late James and Jo Ella Hoots Shore, and was a retired salesman with the Lance Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Latham Shore, in 1999; and also by three brothers. Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn S. Chandler and her husband, James D. Chandler of Kingsport; a son, Jerry G. Shore of McAllen, Texas; two grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy Shore and wife, Lois and Henry Shore and wife, Sarah Ruth, all of Mocksville; two sisters, Angeline S. Tutterow and husband, the Rev. Grady Tutterow and Jeanette Shore, all of Mocksville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, in Eaton Funeral Chapel in Mocksville, with Dr. Van Lankford officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, in Rose Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral hom! e from 6 p.m. until the hour of the funeral Monday.
He married Ethel Lathan. Ethel was born September 7, 1919. Ethel died January 13, 1999 in Kingsport, Sulllivan Co., TN.
Francis Blaine Shore and Ethel Lathan had the following children:
