William died March 2, 1963 in Dallas Co., MO. William was buried in the Hill Cemetery, Dallas County, Missouri

He married twice. He married Priscilla Isadora Rush July 4, 1900 in Dallas Co., MO. Priscilla was born December 1, 1884 in Dallas Co., MO. Priscilla was the daughter of Christian Francis Rush and Priscilla Isadora Miles. Priscilla died April 14, 1937 in Dallas Co., MO. Obit: Priscilla Isadora Rush Smith, daughter of Christian Francis and Priscilla Isadora Rush, was born in Dallas Co., Mo., Dec. 1, 1884, and passed away at her home six miles east of Buffalo April 14, 1937, at the age of 52 years, 4 months and 13 days. She spent most of her life in this vicinity. On July 4, 1900 she was united in marriage to Wm. Henry Smith and to this union seven children were born. Clifford Henry preceded her in death, and the six surviving are: Charley E. and Francis A. of Long Lane, Mo.; Richard W. of Joplin; Mrs. Mildred Smith and Mrs. Mabel Smith of Carthage, Mo., and Neil R. at home.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, the above named children, nine grandchildren and four sisters who are Mrs. Ruth A. Warner, Eureka, Kansas; Mrs. Lissie Bishop and Mrs. Susan Franklin, Ponca City Olka., and Mrs. Catherine A. Franklin of Fairland, Okla., besides a host of relatives and friends.

She had been in poor health for over a year but had been able to carry on until a week before her death, when she became seriously ill and all that loving hands and human kindness could do was done to relieve her suffering but to no avail until the Master called her home.

She professed a hope in Christ, was baptized and united with the Christian church at Crane Hill at the age of sixteen and lived a faithful Christian life until death. Her companion, all her children except Richard, her grandchildren and three of her sisters were at her bed-side during her sickness and on Tuesday evening she called them to her, bade them good-bye and told them to meet her in heaven.

She was a obedient daughter, a faithful wife, not only to her own children but to anyone to whom she could be of service and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p. m. at Hill cemetery by Eld. H. E. Robertson, where burial followed under direction of L. B. Jones.
