He married Mildred Faye Roper March 4, 1925 in Pauline, Power Co., ID. Mildred was born September 8, 1908 in Centralia, Marion Co., IL. Mildred was the daughter of Walter M. Roper and Lula M. O'Brien. Mildred died August 30, 2003 in American Falls, Power Co., ID. OBIT: AMERICAN FALLS - Mildred England, 93 of American Falls, died Saturday at the Power County Nursing Home.
She was born on September 8, 1909 in Centralia, Illinois. She is the daughter of Walter M. Roper and Lutie M. O'Brien Roper. She married William Edward "Bill" England on March 4, 1925. He preceded he in death on December 18, 1999.
She worked for many years at the Morgan Department Store in American Falls. She was active in many clubs and organizations in American Falls and Power County for many years. She loved having family and friends around to share warm laughter and delightful meals together.
Mildred is survived by one son, Glenn (Juanita) England of Pocatello, one daughter, Helen (Bob) Koompin and one daughter-in-law Maureen Nelson of American Falls; one brother, Charles " Bud " Roper of Pocatello; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald and Donald England; one daughter, Betty Lou England, five brothers and three sisters and two grandsons, Kirk Koompin and Steve England.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday at the United Methodist Church, 710 Fort Hall Ave. in American Falls with Pastor Linda Biggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davis-Rose Mortuary, 170 Idaho St., American Falls. The interment will be in the Fallsview Cemetery in American Falls.
Memorials are preferred to the United Methodist Church, 710 Fort Hall Ave., American Falls, ID 8321I or to a charity of choice.
