He was born Sept 8, 1928 near Ottumwa, the son of Clyde E and Arleva Ham Palmer. He had been a resident of Seattle the past 12 years. He attended the Ottumwa Schools. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; one son Robert M. Palmer Jr. of Roslyn, Washington; one step-son, David Winton of Seattle, Washington; his mother, Mrs. Clyde A. Palmer of Ottumwa; one sister, Patricia Leinhauser of Ottumwa, and two brothers, Dean L. Palmer of Ottumwa and Richard Palmer of Boone. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde E. Palmer in 1968. Funeral services and burial were held Thursday at Roslyn, Washington
He married twice. He married Marjorie (Marge) Simon May 1, 1950 in San Bruno, San Mateo Co., CA. Marjorie was born September 16, 1925. Marjorie died December 1972.
