Ruth was born on March 9, 1926, to the late Mr. Ray Ragsdale and Mrs. Bonnie Morris Ragsdale. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Mr. Loyd D. Cochran; and one son Mr. Joe Cochran.

Ruth loved her family and spent her life working in her home. Her favorite pastime was Genealogy. She was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Cochran will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 2 pm with Reverend George Barnett officiating. Music will be provided by Donna Clay. Shane Cochran, Brian Cochran, Rick Rife, Barry Ragsdale, Alan Ragsdale, and Michael Fuller will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens.

Jimmie Ruth Ragsdale and Loyd Deen Cochran had the following children:

 37026 i. Jimmy Deen¹² Cochran (living).

 37027 ii. Joseph Loyd Cochran was born June 28, 1950.
