She was born in Calvert City and was a member of Third Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband.
She married Ruben Durham Young December 12, 1925 in Rockport, IN. Ruben was born September 5, 1904. Ruben was the son of Adam Young and Emily Josephine Moore. Ruben died December 1980 in Owensboro, Daviess Co., KY. In 1930 Ruben and Gadys and two children were living with her mother Ruth in Daviess Co., KY
