Joyce was born July 14, 1940 at home in Clay City, IL to Everett and Nica (Luke) Conner.
During her life she worked at Kerns Manufacturing, Clay County Hospital as a CNA, and at North American Lighting. Her most important job was to be mother to her 9 children and many others who she treated like her children.
Joyce was a loyal and active member of Faith Tabernacle, a member of Clay County Senior Citizens, and enjoyed playing Pinochle and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her eight children: Larry Bissey (Susie Churchill), Paula Young (Terry), Tina Stanley, Mindy Green (Rick), Sam Sanders (Kenny), Everett Bissey, Terrance Bissey, Jason Bissey (Ashley); a brother: John Conner (Maryann); 24 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, a son Dale Ray, and siblings Harold Conner, Lester Conner, and Betty Pate.
The funeral service for Joyce Bissey was held at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
Burial was in Rusk Cemetery, rural Flora.
She married an unknown person in Flora, Clay Co., IL.
