He married Effie May Thurmon. Effie was born September 5, 1902. Effie died September 25, 2003 in Homer, Claiborne Parish, LA. OBIT: Funeral services for May Thurmon Allgood, 101, will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday September 28, 2003 at Hebron Baptist Church in Summerfield, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Kenneth Nutt. Burial will follow in Summerfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Allgood passed away Thursday, September 25, 2003 at Presbyterian Village of Homer. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lester Allgood. Survivors include two sons, Robert J. Allgood and wife Eva of Benton, LA and DeForrest Allgood and wife Carolyn of Summerfield, LA one daughter, Carolyn Allgood of Houston, TX four grandchildren, Debbie Smith, Ben Allgood, Greg Allgood and Pat Allgood nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
