Nathan's death certificate shows birth date as 1869, where as the 1900 census shows 1870. Nathaniel died April 16, 1943 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., NC. Nathan was buried in the Mt Pleasant Church Cemetery, Catawba Co., NC
He married Susan Carrie Howard. Susan was born May 1867 in NC. Susan died bef 1920.
Nathaniel Lee Rutledge and Susan Carrie Howard had the following children:
