Sandra died November 22, 2010 in Westwood, CA. OBIT: Sandra (Sandi) Louise Lake and Charles (Charlie) Jacob Lake, husband and wife, died within 35 days of each other. Charles Jacob Lake passed away, at his home in Ojai, California, on October 17, 2010, resulting from colon and liver cancer. Sandra Louise Lake passed away, after a four month stay at Ronald Reagan Cancer Center, in Westwood, California, of leukemia.
Sandra Louise Lake was born on January 8, 1954 in Salisbury, North Carolina, the daughter of Donald and Dolores Whitacre. Charles Jacob Lake was born on December 11, 1951 in Ventura, California, the son of the late Charles Asa and Madge Lake.
Sandra graduated from Ventura Community College and worked for Blue Cross of California as a Registered Nurse, while Charles graduated from California Polytechnic State University and worked for the Navy as an electrical and civil engineer until his retirement in 2006.
Sandra and Charles are survived by their sons Charles Benjamin Lake of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Jonathan Loren Lake of Ojai, California. Sandra is also survived by her mother Dolores Whitacre of Ojai, California and her brother Donald Paul Whitacre III of Long Beach California. Charles is survived by his brother Donald Ray Lake of Ventura, California.
A memorial service is planned for 1:30 pm on December 11, 2010 at the Ventura Vineyard Church, located at 1956 Palma Drive in Ventura, California.
She married Charles Jacob Lake. Charles was born December 11, 1951 in Ventura, Ventura Co., CA. Charles was the son of Charles Asa Lake and Madge (___). Charles died October 17, 2010 in Ojai, CA.
Sandra Louise Whitacre and Charles Jacob Lake had the following children:
