1389. William (Artie) D. A.8 Hutchens (William (Dick) L.7, Lettie6 Allgood, William (Pikey) Henry5, William John4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Moxksville, Davidson Co., NC May 18, 1861.
He married Mary (Polly) Tennessee Royal. Mary was born July 28, 1861 in Yadkin Co., NC. Mary was the daughter of John H. Royal and Margaret J. King. Mary died May 22, 1930 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., NC. Mary was buried in the Yakinville Cemetery, Yadkinville, NC The story has been told by descendant family members that William had a mill and apparently Polly could be a toughie on him. When he got mad he would go to the mill. It had a door the made sounds because of the wind blowing through it. He would grab the door and open and shut it and the sounds sounded like "Go to Hell Polly".
