Bessie died October 29, 2002. OBIT: Bessie Elizabeth Lewis Williams is preceded in death by her husband Willie E. Williams; two daughters,Doris Skinner and Willie Jean Williams, one son Charles Lloyd Williams, Sr. She is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Williams Jones of Wetumpka, AL; two sisters Iva Lee Lewis Shipp of Birmingham, AL and Pauline Lewis Faulkner of Sylacauga, AL; sister-in-law Eddie Lou Church Singletary of Pensacola, FL; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Cameron McCormick, Mark Denham, Heath Mitchell, Geoffrey Rodgers, Kevin Denham and Jake Boan.
She married Willie Eldridge Williams. Willie was born May 22, 1902. Willie died June 11,1980. OBIT: Willie Eldridge Williams, Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Williams; one son Charles Lloyd Williams, Sr., Montgomery; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Skinner, Elmore; Mrs. JoAnn Walker, Houston, TX; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Myrtle Bass, Millbrook, Mrs. Leon Singletary, Pensacola, FL; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Russell Bass, James Bass, Rayburn Bass, Thomas Bass, Billy Church, Bobby Church, Leon E. Singletary, Jr., Don LeGrone. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Fred D. Hunker, Dr. William Crum, Dr. Charles W. Brewton, Charles Lucas, Gary Womble and Stewart Hood.
