She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald; her son Michael Dawson (Lydia); two daughters, Nancy Dawson and Patricia Fisher (Lane); two grandchildren, Stephanie Lewinski and Todd Dawson; numerous nieces and nephews. At her request, no services are being held. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association. The family has entrusted arrangements to BONNEY-WATSON Federal Way, 1535 S.W. Dash Point Rd., Federal Way, WA.
She married Donald Landis Dawson 1945 in LaGrande, OR. Donald was born March 7, 1924. Donald died March 17, 2007 in Federal Way, King Co., WA. Obit: Donald Landis DAWSON Born March 7, 1924 in LaGrande, Oregon and passed away on March 17, 2007 in Federal Way, Washington. Don grew up and went to school in LaGrande where he was an all star athlete in football, basketball and baseball. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and fought in the Pacific and Atlantic Theaters during World War II. After the war Don settled in Seattle where he met and married Betty in 1945. He worked for over 45 years in the moving and storage industry in the Pacific Northwest. His true passion was for helping out in Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball where he coached and held organizational positions for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty and survived by his children: Michael (Lydia) Dawson, Nancy Dawson, and Patricia (Lane) Fisher. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Stephanie (Tom) Lewinski, Todd (Taryn) Dawson, and one great-grandchild, Michael Lewinski. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Maine. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to: St. Francis Hospital, c/o Intensive Care Unit, 34515 - 9th Ave. South, Federal Way, WA 98023.
