his Christian beliefs and leaves our family the cherished legacy of a deep and abiding faith in God. He was employed for 46 years as a fixer
at Hanes Hosiery. The natural ingenuity he developed as a farmboy proved useful throughout these years of adapting new parts to old
machines. He farmed throughout his life, at one time maintaining nearly 200 head of cattle and tending a large part of the bottoms along
Forbush Creek and the Yadkin River. He was also a charter member of the Forbush Volunteer Fire Department. In 1964 Clyde and Myrtle became
licensed real estate brokers. They earned a sterling reputation in their business affairs and embarked on many development ventures,
including Forbush Forest. Clyde was recognized for his talent in seeing potential in even the roughest hills and hollars of Yadkin County.
His advice on real estate matters was highly respected by his clients and throughout the professional community. He remained active in his
family, church and business until the end of his life. Even during his final illness he remained concerned about the welfare of others and
never lost his wonderful sense of humor. His quiet strength served as the bedrock of our family. The family will receive friends at Gentry
