Ralph died May 4, 2006 in Greenville, Greenville Co., SC. OBIT: Ralph Shelton Cochran, 70, of 47 River Birch Way, widower of Edith Lewis Cochran, died May 4, 2006, at Brighton Gardens of Greenville.
A native of Concord, N.C., son of the late Claude Lee and Laura Louise Shelton Cochran, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, the retired owner and operator of Cochran Motors, and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura C. and Greg Lawson of Greer, and Kimberly C. and Jeff Sorrow of Calhoun Falls; a brother, Claude Lee Cochran Jr. of Pacifica, Calif.; and a grandson, Justin Lawson of Greer.
Mr. Cochran was predeceased by a sister, Claudette Kenny.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at the Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Jimmie Harley. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
He married Edith (Edie) Marie Lewis June 28, 1968. Edith was born December 23, 1937 in Horry Co., SC. Edith was the daughter of Austin Horton Lewis and Sudie Marie Fields. Edith died November 27, 2003 in Greenville, Greenville Co., SC.
Ralph Shelton Cochran and Edith (Edie) Marie Lewis had the following children:
