Opal died March 17, 2006 in Potosi, Washington Co., MO. OBIT: Opal "Maurine" Burton of Cadet, Missouri, departed this life Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home of Potosi, having reached the age of 81 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was born at Enough, Missouri May 6, 1924, a daughter of the late Clarence and Lora (Fryman) Barton.
In addition to her parents, Maurine was preceded in death by three sons, Ronald, Donald and Christian Dinger; four brothers, Paul, Berlin, Huey and Glen Barton.
She was a loving and devoted mother. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Ottery, Missouri.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include five sons; Larry Dinger of Waco, Texas; Gary Dinger and wife Sharon of Lindale, Texas; Michael Dinger and wife Virginia of White House, Texas; Dan Dinger and wife Lesley of Cadet, and Rick Dinger of Gilmer, Texas; two brothers, Elza Barton of Ironton and Elwood Barton of Potosi; one sister, Vagene Brewer of Cedar Hill; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Gary Dinger and Rev. Gary McCord officiating. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Shannon Dinger, James Dinger, Kevin Dinger, Kimble Kubiak, Steve Gregory and Christopher Reed. Interment and final prayers were held at Ottery Creek Cemetery, Belleview, Missouri.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
She married twice. She married Franz Aldo Dinger. Franz was born June 24, 1915 in MO. Franz was the son of Christian Dinger and Alzado (___). Franz died August 20, 1980 in Tyler, Smith Co., TX. She married Robert M Burton June 16, 1977 in Smith Co., TX.
Robert was born 1928.
Opal Maurine Barton and Franz Aldo Dinger had the following children:
