Walter died December 17, 2005 in Zebulon, Pike Co., GA. Obit: Walter J. Fisher, 68, of Zebulon, Ga., died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Fisher was born in Roanoke to the late William H. Fisher and Velma Wilkerson Fisher on Jan 13, 1937. He was a commercial truck driver for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and restoring old cars. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jewel Fisher; three children, Randy Fisher and Walter J. Fisher Jr. of Zebulon and Kristi Legnetto of Syracuse, N.Y.; two grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Fisher of Roanoke; one sister, Sue Bradley of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews. Services were Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home in Zebulon, with the Rev. Ted Moody officiating.
