He married Nellie (Nell) Mae Swabe. Nellie was born June 12, 1920. Nellie was the daughter of Herbert Elmer Swabe Sr and Bessie Mae Duggan. Nellie died August 18, 2004 in Maryville, Blount Co., TN. OBIT: Nellie (Nell) Mae Swabe White of Maryville, formerly of Madisonville, passed away at 3:05 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Maryville Health Care. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for more than 70 years, where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. She was 84. Preceded in death by: husband, T.G. White; Sons, Leon White and Melvin White; great-granddaughter, Nikkie Renae White; parents, Herbert Elmer Swabe Sr. and Bessie Mae Duggan Swabe; sisters, Charlotte Bell Swabe and Rose Lee Green; brothers, Herbert Elmer Swabe Jr. and R.B. Swabe. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law-Phyllis and R.C. Leming of Maryville; and Gena and Robert Williams of Madisonville; Sons and daughters-in-law-Charles and Lois White of Greenback; Bill and Helen White of Maryville; Larry and Phyllis White, Wilma White and Brenda White, all of Sweetwater; Grandchildren-Linda Whitehead and Scott White of Maryville; Lucinda Wayman, David White, Dan White, Jennifer Riley and Chris White, all of Sweetwater; Susan Schaffer, Ritchie White, Rodney Williams and Mitchell Williams, all of Madisonville; Norman White of Loudon; and Denny White and Bridgette Rayl of Niota; Twenty-two great-grandchildren; Sisters-Viola Swabe of Madisonville; and Margaret Moser of Dayton, Ohio; Brother-Austin Swabe of Madisonville; Several nieces, nephews and friends Special friends-Fannie Ditmore and Edna Rogers. Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Friday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel with the Revs. Bill White, R.C. Leming, Scott White and Buford Albright officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m., Saturday, in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends at 5:30 p.m., Friday, before the funeral. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge of arrangements.
