Randall died July 1, 2006 in Pella, Mahaska Co., IA. Obit: Randy Padgett, 54, and Ouida Padgett, 52, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella, Iowa. Randy was born May 6, 1952, to Raymond L. and Velma Walker Padgett. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972- 74. He received a degree in diesel mechanics from Indian Hills Community College. He worked at Bill & Ray's Auto Service in Oskaloosa for 22 years before working as a mechanic for the Iowa Department of Transportation. Ouida was born April 8, 1954, in Rabun County to the late Joe Davis and Ruth Chappell Ritchie. She graduated from Rabun County High School in 1972. She worked at Pella Corp., formerly Rolscreen Company, for about 25 years and was a homemaker. The couple was married Oct. 11, 1974, in Oskaloosa. Ouida was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest D. Ritchie. Survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Andrew and Shawna Padgett of Eddyville, Iowa, and Cody Padgett of Oskaloosa; Randy's parents, Raymond L. and Velma Padgett of Eddyville; his brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Brenda Padgett of Hamilton, Iowa; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Dennis Seibert of Harvey, Iowa, and Linda and Rodney Vander Beek of Eddyville; and Ouida's sister, Christine Ritchie Dill of Mount Airy. Funeral services were held July 5 at Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with the Rev. Alvern Boetsma officiating. Burial followed in Forest Cemetery, with graveside military rites given by members of Oskaloosa veterans organizations.
