Lester K.¹⁰ Blankenship (Lena Irma⁹ Allgood, John Franklin⁸, Elech Franklin⁷, Charles B.⁶, Edward⁵, William⁴ Algood, Edward³ Allgood, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Auburn, Nemaha Co., NE October 1936. Lester died December 20, 2009 in Nebraska City, Otoe Co. NE. OBIT: Lester Blankenship, 73, of Nebraska City, went to join his son Mike in heaven Sunday (12/20/09). He was born to Charley and Irma (Allgood) Blankenship in Auburn, Neb. Lester worked 30 years in the garment manufacturing industry including Debby and Danny Dare, Pendleton's, Nebraska Outerwear and Holden Manufacturing. He worked eight years at Nebraska City Lourdes High School.

He is survived by Betty Blankenship of Nebraska City; daughters, Cindy Blankenship of Lincoln, Neb. and Cathy Blankenship of Nebraska City; three grandchildren; brothers, Carrol Blankenship of Newton, Iowa, Leland Blankenship of Auburn, Neb., Charles Blankenship of Auburn, Neb.; nieces and nephews; special friends, Barb and Don Andrastek of California; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services 10 a.m.Wednesday (12/23/09) at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Terry Weible officiating. Burial will be in the Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Dunbar Volunteer Fire Department in his memory. The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Gude Mortuary. Gude Mortuary in charge of the funeral arrangements

Lester K. Blankenship and Betty Bashau had the following children:
