He married Bessie Pearl Letterman December 15, 1912 in Laclede, Linn Co. MO. Bessie was born July 16, 1891 in Webster Co., MO. Bessie was the daughter of Wiliam Fred Letterman and Margaret J Wilhite. Bessie died November 1, 1924.

12336 i. Elvin Ray10 Greathouse was born in Webster Co., MO Jjuly 30, 1913. Elvin died February 1,1958 in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL. He married Lydia Saleeba 1946 in Duval Co., FL. Lydia was born June 23, 1923 in Jacksonville, Duval Co, FL. Lydia was the daughter of George Saleeba and SLamia Makrez. Lydia died August 28, 1996.
12337 ii. Reba Pearl Greathouse was born July 22, 1916.
12338 iii. James Everett Greathouse was born in Webster Co., MO March 1918. James died April 2, 2004 in Lewisburg, Marshall Co., TN. OBIT: James Everett Greathouse, 85, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at his residence.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Friday until the service hour at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
He was the son of the late James Albert and Bessie Thurman Greathouse. He was retired from Whirlpool and a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anna Thurman Greathouse.
Survivors include a sister, Reba Perryman of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
He married twice.
He married Mary Ann Thurman. Mary was born November 6, 1911. Mary died November 22, 1999 in Lewisburg, Marshall Co., TN. He married Mildred Marie Henderson July 16, 1940 in Webster Co., MO.
