Owen died February 9, 1999 in Mesa, Marcolpa Co., AZ. OBIT: Owen Cloyd Kennedy, 84, died February 9, 1999, in Mesa, Arizona. He was born August 7, 1915, in Ellington, Missouri to Sylvester Lee Kennedy and Cassie Mae (Farris) Kennedy both deceased.
Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife Ada (Murray) Kennedy, who he married May 7, 1936; two children Larry Joe Kennedy of Joplin, Mo. and Janet Sue (Kennedy) Waldfogel of Mesa, Arizona; three grandchildren, Brent Waldfogel of Gilbert, Arizona, Angela (Waldfogel) Steinhart, and Kristian (Waldfogel) Farley of Mesa, Arizona; five great-grandchildren, Bailey and Branden Steinhart and Shanna, Justin Owen, and Kendra Lee Waldfogel; two sisters, Kay Jambor of Jefferson City, and Marie Head of Crystal City; three brothers, Lee Kennedy of Cape Girardeau, and Tom Kennedy and Dean Kennedy, both of Fredericktown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother James Kennedy of East St. Louis, IL; one sister Hilda (Kennedy) Tibbs of Coldwater, Mo.
Mr. Kennedy was employed for many years at Union Station Railroad in St. Louis, where lived until he retired and moved to Mesa Arizona. Graveside services were held July 5, 1999, at Marcus Memorial Cemetery. Follis-Sonderman Funeral Home handled the arrangements. The Rev. Dwight Presson was in charge of the religious services.
Owen Cloyd Kennedy and Ada Leela Ann Murray had the following children:
