Roscoe died September 20, 2002 in Slaton, Lubbock Co., TX. OBIT: Services for Roscoe Charles "R.C." "Shorty" Moulton Sr., 86, of Post, formerly of McAlester, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chaney's Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Marcus Barnett officiating.

Burial will be in Arpelar Cemetery with an honor guard provided by American Legion Post 79. Arrangements are under the direction of Chaney Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.

He died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002.

He was born May 22, 1916, in Blocker, Okla. He served in the Army 76th Infantry during World War II and received the Purple Heart for wounds received in the RHUR Germany Campaign. He received the European Theater Ribbon with three campaign stars and a good conduct medal. He ran a service station in McAlester, worked for the University of Oklahoma in Norman and retired as chief of police from Lexington, Okla.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the American Legion.

Survivors include three sons, Roscoe Jr. of Post, Rick of Slaton and Ron of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a daughter, Connie Whitten of Broken Arrow; a stepdaughter, Billie Cathey of McAlester; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren;

The family suggests memorials to the Southeast Oklahoma Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Rosco was buried in the Arpelar Cemetery, Arpelar, Pittsburg Co., OK

He married Mary Margarette Farley.

Roscoe Charles Moulton and Mary Margarette Farley had the following children:
