Nora died February 20, 1959 in Cornith, Denton Co., TX. OBIT: Funeral rites for Mrs. Nora Henry Pockrus, 78, of Route 2, Corinth, will be conducted today at 2pm in Jack Schmitz And Son Funeral Home Chapel. by Rev. Jim Angel, pastor of the Memorial Baptist Church of Denton. Assisting the Rev. Mr. Angel will be the Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of the Corinth Baptist Church and the Rev. H. M. Riek, pastor of the Highland Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery near Corinth. Mrs. Pockrus died Friday at 7:25pm at Denton's Elm Street Hospital and Clinic after a four month illness. She had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Ray Harris of 916 Carroll for the last 3 months. Born in Hillsboro, December 12, 1883, she came to Denton County as a child. She married the late W. D. Pockrus, January 6, 1913. Mr. Pockrus died June 18, 1953. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church and the Auld Lang Syne Club of Corinth. Survivors include six sons, Arthur Pockrus of Pensacola, Florida, A. E. Pockrus of Dallas, W. G. Pockrus of Quitman and W. A., H. W. (Pete) and Raymond Pockrus, all of Denton; two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Hilger of Ponder and Mrs. Harris of Denton; a step son Marvin Oliver of Henrietta; a step daughter, Mrs. Ollie Garrison of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Harvey of Royce City; a brother Claude Henry of Lewisville; seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She married William David Pockrus January 6, 1913 in TX. William was born January 2, 1871 in Rome, Tallapoosa Co., AL. William was the son of William V Pockrus and Sara F Berry. William died June 18, 1955 in Denton, Denton Co., TX.

Evelyn was born September 1, 1926 in Cooke Co., TX. Evelyn died Julyy 10, 1992 in Denton, Denton Co., TX. OBIT: Evelyn L. Pockrus of Denton, a retired assembly worker, died Friday at her home. She was 65. Funeral will be at 2 pm today at Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. Ms. Pockrus was born in the Myra community in Cooke County. She was a retired employee of Victor Equipment in Denton. Mrs. Pockrus was a member of Cooper Creek Baptist Church in Denton. Survivors; Daughter, Vicky Justus of Elm City, Oklahoma; son, Richard Lawson of Denton; brother, Mick Haney of New Mexico; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
