Mittie died February 19,1979 in Cheyenne, Roger Mills Co., OK. OBIT: Mittie Lee Sizemore was born May 9, 1909 at Hollis, Oklahoma and passed away in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital, February 19, 1979 after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 22, 1979 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Daisy E. Guthrie. Amarillo, Texas officiating. July 28, 1928 she married Arthur Sizemore at Hollis. They lived at Hollis, Clayton and Alamogordo, New Mexico then they moved to Antler and Heavener, in eastern Oklahoma before moving to Cheyenne in 1938 to make their home. She was a member of the Calvary Gospel Tabernacle in Amarillo, Texas. Preceding her in death were her parents, 1 son, 1 sister, 1 brother, 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild. Survivors are her husband, Arthur of the home; 3 daughters: Verdene Earle, Canute, Maxine Lovett, Cheyenne, Mae Dunlap, Claude, Texas; 4 sons, A.D. Sizemore, Little Rock, Arkansas, Bill Sizemore, Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Orville Wayne Sizemore, Fond-du-Lac, Wisconsin, Grady Sizemore, Amarillo, Texas. 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Leonard Davis, Abilene, Texas, and Melvin Davis, Elk City; 5 sisters: Ellen Forrester, Elk City, Elvesta Martin and Loretta Martin of Stillwater, Helen Boyett, Amarillo, Texas and Lenora Barrow, Granite. Interment was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel. Pallbearers were Henry Andrews, Gene Whitson, Floyd Whitson, Alvie Davis, Lonnie Forester, and Frank Boyett. Honorary pallbearers were Emmett Morris, Wayne Parkhurst, Joe Whitson, Charlie Whitson and Leon Davis.
She married Arthur Scott Sizmore July 28, 1928 in Hollis, Harmon Co., OK. Arthur was born March 21, 1905 in Waldron, Sscott Co., AR. Arthur was the son of Columbus Sizemore and Julia Idella Mae Brasher. Arthur died August 2, 1985 in Cheyenne, Roger Mills Co., OK.
