Judy died March 3, 2009 in Kerrville, Kerr Co., TX. OBIT: Judy Eileen Richardson Brocke was born June 3, 1945, in St. Paul?s Hospital in Dallas to Eugene E. and Marion Ely Richardson. Judy's life came to an end on March 3, 2009, in Wimberley, cared for by the Hospice group of San Marcos. She is survived by her mother, Marion, and stepfather, Dale Ringwald, of Kerrville; her son, Jason M. and wife, Maili Brocke, and their two daughters of Ventura, Calif. Also surviving are a brother, Bill Richardson of Austin; sisters, Jan Richardson of Wimberly and Diana Brill and husband, Alan, of McKinney; niece, Jessica and husband of McKinney; a nephew, Jeremy of Arizona; aunt, Jean Richardson of Rockport; and cousins, Kay and Jim Richardson, DVM, of Rockport, Linda Shelton of Denison and Tim Richardson of Roanoke. Also surviving Judy are her cousins, Greg Reger of Kennewick, Wash., and Gary Richardson, Ph.D., of Hartford, Conn. Judy was a 1963 graduate of Highland High School, Highland, Ind., and attended Indiana University. While in Girl Scouts, she remained active through her high school years. While active in the MYF program of her church, Woodmar Methodist, Ind., she was a district youth director and continued that after her marriage to Jim Brocke, and worked with youth of Valporaiso, Ind. Her working years included being employed by a large department store in Chicago, whereby she instructed teenagers and women how to properly walk, apply makeup, choose hair styles and clothing. She was a bridal model and an auto show model for two years. After her divorce, she eventually moved to Texas and worked for the city of Irving for many years until allergies forced her to move to the Hill Country, where she was employed by Mo-Ranch until her cancer affected her working. Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, conducted by the Rev. Warren Harding, First United Methodist Church, Kerrville.
