He was a lifelong educator and administrator in eastern Colorado and Wyoming. Dr. Simons was born July 23, 1925, in Rush Springs, Okla., to Pugh and Willie Belle (Franklin) Simons, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 28, 1944, to Treba Leora Shotts. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Lynda Rhoades; two sons, Mike and Mark; a sister, LuVeta Blades; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Pugh D. Services were held. Inurnment was at Memory Gardens, Fort Morgan. Joliffe Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO
He married Treba Leora Shotts October 28, 1944. Treba was born November 21, 1925. Treba died March 21, 2008 in Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., CO. Treba was buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Morgan, Morgan Co.,CO
