Born May 12, 1905, in Breckinridge County, Mrs. Smiley was a daughter of the late Samuel Allgood and Roxie Lucas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Irene Burress, Hodgenville, and Ann Eswin, New Salisbury, IN; two sons, Albert Smiley, Pleasure Ridge Park, and Ray Smiley, Sellersburg, IN; four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 10 atheTrent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, with the Rev. Harry Dooley officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
She married twice. She married J. T. Hesler. She married Leon Redman Smiley November 10, 1920 in Grayson Co., KY. Leon was born January 20, 1890 in KY. Leon died May 2, 1945 in Breckinridge Co., KY.
