She was born October 31, 1940 in Ballinger to Arthur and Margaret (Ladwig) Crockett.
After high school, Linda married Curtis Fletcher on October 17, 1958 in Midland. They shared 51 loving years together before his passing in 2010.
She was a loving mother and homemaker.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandson, Zachary.
She is survived by her two children, David Fletcher and wife Kim of Abilene and Andrea Fletcher of Bryan; grandchildren, Ethan and Elizabeth Fletcher; brothers, Bill Crockett and wife, Renate of Virginia and Ronnie Crockett and wife, Carol of Houston; and nieces, Petra, Sonya, and Cindy.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 2 at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger with Rev. Ferris Akins officiating.
She married Curtis Milton Fletcher October 17, 1958 in Midland, Midland Co., TX. Curtis was born January 12, 1934 in Maverick, TX. Curtis was the son of Baylis G Fletcher and Vera Mae Hardy. Curtis died June 1, 2010 in San Angelo, Tom Green Co., TX. OBIT: Curtis Milton Fletcher, 76, of San Angelo passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at his residence. He was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Maverick, Texas, to Baylis Gerald and Vera Mae (Hardy) Fletcher. After serving in the U.S. Army for two years, he and Linda Crockett were married Oct. 17, 1958, in Midland. He attended Texas A&M University, studying many facets of the insurance business. Curtis had a full and satisfying career in insurance for 30 years, primarily as an adjustor and was employed by Crum & Forster in San Angelo for much of that time. He served as past-president of San Angelo Claims Association, was a member of Abilene-San Angelo Arbitration Committee and a past member of the board of directors of San Angelo Jaycees.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Howard Fletcher.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Linda, of San Angelo; son David Fletcher and wife Kim of Abilene; daughter Andrea Fletcher of Bryan; grandchildren Zachary, Ethan and Elizabeth Fletcher; and nephews Keith and Gary Fletcher.
Linda Kay Crockett and Curtis Milton Fletcher had the following children:
