4742. Ellen Jeanette Gennette9 Hutchens (Wilson G.8, Samuel7, Lettie6 Allgood, William (Pikey) Henry5, William John4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Yadkin Co., NC August 18, 1924. Ellen died February 24, 2004 in Yadkin Co., NC. OBIT:: Mrs. Jeanette Hutchens Petree, 79, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Petree was born Aug. 18, 1924, in Yadkin County to the late Wilson and Delphia Hutchens Hutchens. She was retired from Guardian Care in Elkin. She was a member of Pilot View Friends Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Petree and a son, Gary Petree. Surviving are her two sons, Charles Petree of the home and Wayne (Shirley) Petree of Courtney; two daughters, Mrs. Ann P. (Buddy) Groce of Courtney and Mrs. Drew (Tim) Frye of Yadkinville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29, at Pilot View Friends Church by the Rev. Nelson Puffenberger. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
She married William Wesley Petree. William was born June 22, 1923 in NC. William was the son of George Edward Petree and Olive Bell Dickerson. William died February 4, 1990 in Forsyth Co., NC. William and Ellen were buried in the Pilot View Friends Meeting Church Cemetery, Yadkin Co., NC
Ellen Jeanette Gennette Hutchens and William Wesley Petree had the following children:
