Vetris died December 2, 2008 in Pomona, Howell Co., MO. OBIT: 75, Pomona, Mo., will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bruffett died 10:02 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at her home. She was born July 5, 1933, in Howell County, Mo. to Lewis and Essie Collins Wake. She was married to Oscar Howell. On Dec. 2, 1975, she was married at Norwood, Mo. to Howard Lee Bruffett, who preceded her in death on Aug. 21,1999. Before her retirement, Mrs. Bruffett was employed as a cook at the Pleasant Valley Manor. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and cooking with her grandchildren. Mrs. Bruffett attended the New Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Christine Collins, husband, Rickey, Ann Rosenbum, husband, Gary, Oscar Howell, wife, Virginia, and Rhonda Sinor, husband, Ted, all of West Plains; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers, Eddie Wake, wife, Paula, and Glen Wake, wife, Violet, both of West Plains; four sisters, Neva McCrackin, husband, Leman, Kansas City, Mo., Lavon Pliler, husband, Junior, Joplin, Mo., Edna Storms, West Plains, and Marilyn Howell, husband, Dalton, West Plains; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; husband; one great-grandson; one brother, E. J. Wake; one sister, Virginia Strickland; and two infant sisters precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Saturday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Thomas Cemetery, Norwood. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home."
She married twice. She married (___) Howell. She married Howard Lee Bruffett December 2, 1975 in Norwood, Wright Co., MO.
Howard died August 21, 1999.
