Jeanie died May 12, 1998 in Bountiful, Davis Co., UT. OBIT: Our beautiful Mother, Jean Frances Eudey Taylor, passed to a greater and more joyful life on May 12, 1998. She left us with a legacy of compassion, unselfishness, joy, generosity and love of family.
She was born May 29, 1906 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Marguerite Orr Eudey and John Edgar Eudey. In 1928 she married Frank Chase Taylor (now deceased). They have three children: Douglas Chase Taylor, Marguerite (Margie) Ann Taylor Weed and Susan Jane Taylor. She is survived by two daughters, six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.In 1952 she married LeRoy Soelberg. From this union she gained three stepchildren, LeRoy Soelberg, Jr., LaRue (Peggy) Soelberg Ecton, and Bruce Soelberg; 20 grandchildren, 50 great- grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren.
As a member of the LDS Church, she had a passionate and fulfilling love of genealogy. She completed many Books of Remembrance for her family, taught genealogy and completed a name extraction mission. Some of her favorite joys were playing the piano, fine art, family, babies and DESSERT!
Family members gave her constant love and support over her lifetime.
We would like to thank her friends, her kind caretakers at the Beehive Home, Angel-friend Georgia Harding, Dr. Mary Jane Norman and the loving staff at St. Joseph's Villa who helped us all.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 1998 at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive. Family and friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in the Ogden City Cemetery.
She married twice. She married Frank Chase Taylor June 23, 1928 in Farmington, UT. Frank was born December 17, 1907. Frank died March 26, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., UT. She married LeRoy Soelberg February 22, 1956. LeRoy was born November 24, 1905 in Grantsville, Tooele Co., UT. LeRoy was the son of William Karl Soelberg and Dagmar Caroline Johansen. LeRoy died July 1977 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., UT.
Jeanie Frances Eudey and Frank Chase Taylor had the following children:
