He married three times. He married Lucillle Antnan. He married Mattie (___). He married Norma Jean Sexton April 8, 1988. Norma was born January 15,1953 in Girard, Macoupin Co., IL. Norma was the daughter of James Elme Sexton and Helen M. Gudgel. Norma died December 6, 2016 in Virden, Macoupin Co., IL. OBIT: Norma J. Allgood, 63, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Virden.
Norma was born on January 15, 1953 in Girard the daughter of James Elmer and Helen Gudgel Sexton. She married John Allgood on April 8, 1988.
Norma worked for the State of Illinois Department of Public Aid and Rehabilitation Services for over 34 years. She was of the Christian faith, enjoyed painting, doing various crafts especially wood crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, David and Russell Sexton.
She is survived by husband, John Allgood of Kincaid, one son Christopher Treadway of Rantoul; two brothers, Jim Sexton of Chatham and Kenneth Sexton of Springfield; sister-in-law, Linda Sexton of Petersburg; close friend, Shirley Peters of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 3-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the funeral home with Reverend Jacob Skelton officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
