She was born on March 9, 1928 in Forsyth County to Ellie Johnson and James Russell Stewart. Norris was a life-long resident of the Waughtown community. She operated Hutchins Bookkeeping and Tax Service and was a member of Trinity Moravian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and sister, and her husband, Charlie Edgar Hutchins. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Morgan (Steve); son, Jim Hutchins; granddaughter, Bonnie Longhitano (Peter) and great-granddaughter, Ava; grandson, Keith Hutchins and great-grandson, Kaleb; grandson, Bobby (Nichole) and great-grandsons, Kevin and Michael; and brother-in-law, Bob L. Hutchins (Helen). Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 11, at 3:00 P.M. at Salem Funeral Home Main Street Chapel. A Moravian burial service will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard with Rev. Bill McElveen officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Friday, June 10, at the funeral home.
